The main legislation that refers to child protection is the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005. Other legislations that refer to child protection include the Working with Children Act 2005; the Child Wellbeing and Safety Act 2005; The Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006; and the Family Law Act 1975.
