Child Protection Services in Victoria are controlled by the DHS (Dep. of Human Services; Child Protection/Juvenile Justice Branch). The main legislation that refers to child protection is the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005. Other legislations that refer to child protection include the Working with Children Act 2005; the Child Wellbeing and Safety Act 2005; The Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006; and the Family Law Act 1975.
