Written task 1- Portfolio
You are required to compile a collection of resources, activities and experiences for both groups and individuals for the use in children's sevices. Your collection must incorporate samples of children's work, a description, a sketch or photographs
Your potfolio must cover two age groups. Choose one age group from group one and one from group two
Group one
infants
or toddlers
Group two
kindergarten/prep
or
outside hours school care
The portfolio is to be devivded into sections in the following areans:
1. Physical gross motor/ Fundamental movement skills
2.Physical fine motor development
3. Language development
4.Social development
5. Emotional development
6. Cognitive development
7. Creative development
8. Health/ Nutrution and/or Routines
9. Cultural Celebrations/ Special Occasions
For each area you will need TWO entries, which make a total oof eighteen(18) entries in your portfolio.
For each entry you will need to write small paragraphs approximately 3-4 sentences on how the resource/experience supports children's development and why it is relevant for the age group.
You will also need to include interactions and assistance that may be provided during the expericen to make it stimulating. Examples of this could include role modeling, verbal assistance, conversatioms amd open-ended questioning.
You will also need to condider the saftely aspects of the experience
It is expected that you refer back to your textbook- Developmental Profiles by Allen and Marotz, your learning guide and the quality areas listed in the Quality Improvement Accreditation System Handbook.
The internent can also be used as a refecernce source however it is expected that you don't print informations direct from websites. You will need to identify what is relevant and utilise the information to fit the requirements of the assessment.
A bibliography must be included. All photocopies need to be referenced and included in the bibliography.
