Hello everyone,

I've got an assignement to do and i'm a bit stuck could you please help me with it? Thank you!

Here are the questions:

1. Explain the primary purporse for observing young children in early childhood settings

2. What role does child development knowledges play in observation and planning for development

3. Explain what is meant by the following statement as it relates to planning for children's development.

"The practitioner's belief system will influence the way they 'see' and interact with children."

4. Explain how incorrect assumptions can impact on decision making.

5. List the range of personal attributes of the practitioner that might impact on perceptions of children

6. How does specialist professional knowledge influence the practitioner's perception of children?

7. Vygotsky stressed the social and cultural context of learning and observed that these contexts directly impacted on learning and behaviour. Explain why this statement is of particular importance to early childhood educators.

8. Explain the concept of 'intentional teaching' in the context of an early childhood setting.

Thank you very much for every one who will answer me!=)

Cheers
