don't count me on this cause I am in the same position you are and just wrote this up this morning..

Indoors:

• Shelves, carpets, furniture and dividers are arranged to create clearly defined activity areas.

• Pathways allow for easy access to cubby-holes and self-help station.

• Pathways between art and play areas allow for easy access of creative supplies and play materials. The arrangement provides space to store these materials at children’s eye level. There are clear pathways from one activity to another.

• Furniture is arranged so that carers can supervise effectively, being able to see in all areas of the room from a variety of vantage points.

Outdoors:

• A large open, flat area or pathway is provided using dividers, flooring and equipment to establish clearly defined boundaries, for running and riding toys.

• Fixed and portable climbing equipment is arranged with slopes with varying inclines and protective surfaces underneath, we use foam matting.

• Child-sized and adult-sized seating available in outdoor yard away from hazards of children running, riding or throwing/kicking.

• Sheltered space is provided for protection from the elements, we use shade sails and a verandah.
