Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: CHCFC502A Extend physical activity
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? Yes
Your knowledge: Beginner

Your Question?
Describe How an educator could use a music and/or dance activity to extend Saras physical activity

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
Using Music/dance activities such as the ones in Saras case study, which are less formal and structured, can give Sara and other children more opportunity to make choices and to foster independence.
It allows children to be able to enjoy the physical activity at their own physical and developmental level.
Music and dance activities can extend physical activity because physical play is encouraged, Gross and fine motor skills are developed, It can be an excellent chance to practice balance, co-ordination, pattern recognition and social skills are encouraged, Cognitive skills and learning skills are developed. Dance and music experiences also lets children enjoy freedom of expression. Providing instruments to the children is another way of further enhancing this experience.

The scenario isnt really relevent to the question, all it said was that her educator had put together dance activities wtc. the rest of the scenario wasn't relevent to the question. Thanks heaps Dulciean :)
