Identify and respond to children and young people at risk

Explain what it means to say that child/young person- focused work practices should be employed. Consider this in terms of assessing a child/ young persons current situation and determining actions that should be taken to remove the child from harmful situations or to prevent the risk of harm?

My answer so far is: to ensure thier immediate safety, to help them develop to their full potential...

And that's all i can really think of, any help please!!
