reduce or eliminate hazards

Hi Norie and welcome to Aussie Childcare Network.

OK lets first analyse the question. Identify 2 hazards associated with packing away equipment in the outdoor storage shed.

Firstly you need to know what a hazard is. Then think about what the hazards can be when you would be picking things up from a playground and moving and packing them into an outdoor shed.

What things would you be cautious of, what do you think could be a hazard in this situation?

Hi Thanks for the reply, my understanding of hazard is something that can be potentially endangered life,health or environment. the best answer i can think of to that situation is if the storage shed is over clutter then it can be dangerous to people packing away the equipment there could be heavy objects or other equipment that can potentially fall on the foot or knock over the head. So it's better to check and make sure that the shed was checked before starting the job. Or the door could be hazard if wasn't checked properly too, or maybe some insects or other creepy crawling that could be hazard for the person doing the job,,thats all i can think of..i don't know if it's right but your advised will be appreciated..thanks again.

If I were packing away I would be careful of lifting heavy things myself to pack them away, making sure I was lifting things properly. I would like you said be careful of things that could fall and hurt me or someone else. Insects and spiders etc like you said could be a hazard. An unsafe shed structure could be a hazard...eg if it leaks and its wet inside you could fall.
