Cotton Seed Oil
A science experiment that involves mixing oil, water and washing up liquid together.
Materials Needed:
- A Bowl (it doesn't matter on the size)
- Washing up liquid
- Cooking oil
- Water
What to do:
- Pour some water into a bowl.
- Add some cooking oil.
- Add a few drops of washing up liquid.
- Mix together.
The Science Factor:
The drops of oil float on top of the water. They have a kind of stretchy skin around them and they like to stick together. When you add the washing up liquid it breaks the skin and helps the oil and water mix together.
