I have heard before that classical music helps with early childhood development, but what about audiobooks? My child is 4 and a half and just beginning to become seriously interested in books/reading, is there a way that audiobooks can help her with pre-school reading?

[EDIT:] I found this site which she seems to like turninto7(com)

If your child is interested in books and reading it's a great opportunity to develop her language and literature skills. Using audio books from time to time is fine at this stage. Just like listening to a CD, your child can listen to a story. Although since she is showing such a strong interest she will benefit more from you reading to her. You can point to the words as you read, read slowly so she can understand, point out the pictures on each page, ask questions etc.
