Cert 3 Staff Signing Off Log Book For Placement Students

Are Cert 3 staff members able to sign off on students doing placement at a child care centre? Their log book to show the have done the hours needed for placement for their course requirements & workplace tasks?!

OR

Is it only for Diploma staff only to do?!

I think it actually has to be a Diploma qualified educator that can sign off since they are more qualified to do so...
