Hi Everyone,
I am really stuck on this assignment that I am required to do, I am not able to find much information...

PART A
~ undertake internet research, an/or discuss with a peer or supervisor in your workplace or host organisation how the following statutory or regulatory requirements are connected with early childhood education and care services, and how they apply to your work role.
~ In your own words, summarise how they are connected and the application of each in your work role.
- Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and Regulations
- Fair Work Act 2009
- Privacy Act 1988

PART B
~ in the table below identify the name of the Australian standard and then describe its connection and application in an early childhood education and care setting
- AS 1288:2006
- AS/NZS 2208: 1996
- AS/NZS IOS 8124.1:2010

I haven't written anything for these answers as I am not sure where to look and how to go about answering these questions, if anyone could help shed some light that would be absolutely amazing!!

- Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and Regulations
- Fair Work Act 2009
- Privacy Act 1988


For each of these find them in GOOGLE and write a brief summary of each one. Then you can relate and describe how it fits in with educators in early childhood. Try searching something like "fair work act 2009 australia in childcare".

For PART B, just copy each "code" in GOOGLE to search and find more info about it...

Thank you for your advice. I have spent the day trying to complete this assignment with GOOGLE and I was wondering if you or anyone can have a look to make sure that I am on the right track with my answers?

Yes, you're on the right track with your responses. I'm just adding a couple ideas you can include:

Child Protection

Family Court Laws - if a court order has been issued against a parent in regards to visitation rights of their child etc. the centre needs to be made aware of this so you can follow it through.

I feel the queston isn't asking what fair work act is, its asking how we use this as a educator and how we apply it?

Am I on the right track?
