Hi

I would just like some help and support with two things

1. Identify And Describe Any Knowledge, Attitudes Or Skills You Need To Develop To Ensure Cultural Competency

I have written this so far

: Show empathy and care at all times

: Good communication skills and appropriate communication at all times

: Be cool calm and collected at all times

: Be friendly and polite at all times

: Willing to interact and listen to what the person has to say

: Have good people skills

: Have a good understanding about the person's culture

: Ask questions relevant to the culture

: Pass on knowledge about the culture

: Share with the person any events or holidays about the culture that they have participated in or experienced

: Maintain a positive attitude

2. Research Aboriginal And Or Torres Strait Islander Communities

a) Identify And Describe Any Historical Issues And Describe The Contemporary Impacts Of Those Issues

I am assuming I am to research about aboriginal history but I do not understand the other part of the question which is describe the contemporary impacts of those issues

The first question is:
Identify And Describe Any Knowledge, Attitudes Or Skills You Need To Develop To Ensure Cultural Competency

So the question is asking skills you will need to develop for you to be cultural competent. Just go through the list you noted down and choose those ones that you think you will need to develop.

This may help as well:

Understanding Cultural Competence

For your second question, the following handbook may help:

Working and Walking Together

Hoe this helps,
