Hi Lorina,

I am waiting for my 1st module feedback in the New Year and currently working on 2nd module. I have a couple of questions....

Under the NEW frameworks what is the basic role of an educator? I am aware of the role,but the NEW framework has thrown me?

Q 2: Name the new set of standards and regulations that apply to the approved frameworks? Again the NEW frameworks...where would I find info for this? Thanks and a very HAPPY NEW YEAR and may it be filled with lots of love and laughter in 2017.

EYLF, MTOP, VEYLF etc.

Under the National Law and National Regulations, services are required to base their educational program on an approved learning framework. This should focus on addressing the developmental needs, interests and experiences of each child, while taking into account individual differences.

Thanks Lorina. I am familar with the frameworks, but was not sure what I should write in regards to the basic role of an educator in 75 words, but have made an attempt. I just need to add more and answer the other question in relation to regulations. I am also looking at pedagogy questions as well, so the link you have sent should assist me with that as I noted when reading through.

Yeah, no problem! I think the word NEW through you off... The approved frameworks aren't really new anymore since they were released in 2012... So, your course provider probably needs to leave that word out as it can cause a lot of confusion!

Yes, you are correct with the NEW bit, as when I Googled I couldn't find anything that was new! Having knowledge of My Time Our Place when I previously studyed. I will get back to you if I need any more assistance. Best get on with the study!
