I do not understand this task at all

any help would be greatly appreciated

Task 1

Gather and record information on at least 3 children of varying ages in your care. You must submit at least one of each of the following methods:

. Observation

. Questioning

. Discussion with family

. Anecdotal information

. Learning story

. Jotting

. Digital image/ photo

. Sample of child's work

Question 2

Analyse the observations you have collected and identify:

. Aspects of child's development

. Knowledge, ideas, abilities and interests

. Social interactions

. Reactions to play environment

Question 3

Using the information you have collected develop a curriculum/program and then implement and evaluate it

Fist off you need 3 children, using these 3 children you need to write observations on each using the methods mentioned above.

Once you have completed your observations you need to analyze it, develop a program which you will then need to use and evaluate it.

Start off with choosing three children of different ages and work out which observation methods to use on each child. Complete this first before moving on...

Once you have observed the child you have to analyse the information you have gathered to find out what the observation is telling you...

For Q1, yes you're on the right track.

For Q2, descriptive behaviour is describing what you are actually seeing. Labelled behaviour is making an assumption based on what you have observed.

For example: smiling and dancing (descriptive behaviour because you can see it)
Aggressive (labelled behaviour - you are not describing what the child is doing to label it as aggressive).
