:inlove: this is the question I'm having difficulty with..
Which of your service policies and procedures refer to children’s ownership of the environment and materials? What are the expectations of children in these policies?
I answered with this:
NQS3- PHYSICAL ENVIORNMENT This reflects childrens ownership of the enviorment and materials by having indoor and outdoor play. This encourages children to make thier own choices with regurards to the experiances they want to participate in. having the option to experiance natural materials or processed materials.
my assessor commented with this below:
Assessor Comments: This question is asking about your centre's policies and procedures. For example it could be a health and safety policy.
so I'm wondering what is she actually asking? I thought I had written the answer correctly but obviously didn't so some help would be amazing! thank you :)

Each centre has a policy and procedure manual. This manual tells educators and parents how to handle a certain issue or a situation that may arise throughout the day. It could be as simple as sun policy and applying sunscreen to children and making sure they wear their hats and it could also include dealing with difficult behaviour, food handling etc. If you have a copy of this manual it would help but if not you could just trying searching for it on Google "policies and procedures childcare" and you should be able to find a few samples. Have a look through these and it should help with your question.

Hope this helps,
