Explain how you would make sure, that all staff know what is required of them, during the assessment and rating visit.

the assessors are able to ask all staff questions about your service , this is why it is important that you make sure all staff are informed of where policies, procedures and any other relevant documentation are as well as knowledge of what is included in these documents.

- assess to documentation such as the polices and procedures, code of conduct

- action plan

- a key understanding of their required performances

is that right?

Yes, you're on the right track with your response! Not only is knowing where documentation is, staff need to have confidence in the duties they are performing and they are working within their best practice. Having regular discussion with educators, encouraging and supporting them, continually reminding them of the quality areas etc.
