Hello to all just wondering if anybody could assist with this question.

Identify why it is important to inform parents promptly incidents their child is involved in at a childcare centre they are at??????

Would appreciate any replies.

Maybe something like:

- Duty of care to inform parents
- Parents know what has happened to their child
- Bumps, bruises, scratches are recorded and parents are informed to minimise risk of infection etc. as they are aware
- Enable parents to get further treatment if needed

Hope this helps,

Yes, parents need to be informed of any head injuries straight away and the injury has to be correctly detailed on the injury record. When a child has a head injury they have to be watched to see if any symptoms arise and if so then precautions need to be taken.

Head Injury
