Hey guys, Ive hit a mental block and am totally stumped
the Question is:
What process would you follow to record and report issues of concern relating to a child’s social, emotional and psychological development?

Would there be some center-specific policy for this?
Or is it part of Mandatory reporting?
Or do I just inform my supervisor and record the findings in the childs personal records and keep an eye on him/her?????
Help :/

Hmmm… well firstly I would observe the child during different situations and see how they respond. Then I would probably use the social and emotional development checklist to see the typical stages of development for their age. I would have a discussion with the child's parents to find out if there are any changes at home or if they noticed anything unusual in the child's behavior recently. I would then note down all these findings and relay them to my director to report my concerns and how we can go about supporting this child.
