Hi everyone... please forgive me if this has been asked previously but does anyone know the hourly rate for working in OSHC/after hours care in NSW? I have a Diploma and currently work in a long day care centre at $22.90 as an assistant.

The job is afternoons only 2:30-6 (and of course school holidays)

Thanks!

While working in an OSHC you will be covered under the Children's Services Award and with a Diploma qualification you may be on Level 4.1 with your minimum hourly wage at $23.71/per hour. You also should get a broken shift allowance, since you will be working in shifts. Also, I know it seems more than what you are earning now but you need to think if working 3 and a half hours every day is enough to cover your cost of living...

Hope this helps,
