CCB enables the government to pay a portion of a parents childcare fees (depending on a variety of factors). So, if your centre doesn't have CCB approval it means that they have to pay the whole fee themselves rather than getting support from the government.

Thanks Lorina. I do have the same thoughts.

But the service will still be regulated by the state Regulatory authority, is it? Families continue to keep their children because they like what the LDC offers and do not mind having no CCB.

Are you able to give me some links where I can possibly do more research and gather more info on continuing to operate without CCB. Just some legalities of the matter.

Thank you.

I just found some information there are 2 types of care services:

1) Registered Child Care - not CCB approved
2) Approved Child Care - is CCB approved

CCB Approved
Registerd Childcare

Hope this gives you more information!

Thanks Lorina.

Can you tell me if an approved provider can re apply for CCB approval again. Does it state in any part of law or legislation.

Thanks.

Yes, I believe they can if the centre meets the requirements...
