I work as a family day care supervisor and I am looking into redesigning our educator progress reports. Once our staff go to the educator home we come back and write a progress report covering all areas.

This document takes an awful lot of time and is 8 pages long.

I thought I would come on here and ask for some ideas and tips.

At the moment the document covers all health, safety , BBB , documentation and the 7 quality areas.

Maybe you can use a document which lists each of the quality areas and their elements. Educators can just highlight which areas that need improving and write jot notes on this document on how they can approve. The quality areas cover all that is needed from the educational program, children health and safety and partnerships with families so you can just use this document itself. It also gives educators a chance to become familiar and recognise each of the quality areas. Hopefully I'm making sense!
