a. Early childhood educators are legally obliged to protect their students from foreseeable harm, infection, and injury. T

b. Duty of care only applies to school teachers. T

c. The actions of someone who does not exercise duty of care are considered negligent. T

d. A very high degree of care is owed to children because they have a limited capacity to care for themselves. T

e. Keeping your knowledge and skills up to date is one way of fulfilling your duty of care. F

f. Neglect is not a form of abuse because the child is not physically harmed. F

Could anyone can help me to check my answer?

Thanks so much

Yes they seemed to be fine except b) I would probably change it to F because in childcare educators also have a duty of care towards children...

Hi Lorina

Could you please clarify for me how '(e) Keeping your knowledge and skills up to date is one way of fulfilling your duty of care' is a false statement.

It's looks like a true statement to me as by keeping up to date with policies and procedures, legislation and regulations will help us in fulfilling our duty of care.
