Hi everyone, I am about to start studying again in the industry and I’ve noticed that 80% of the time I keep getting sick over and over again. I’m so sore and fed up it’s very painful too as it’s always throat infection. Is this what the industry is like? I feel like I should pull out of my course and do something else. As much as I love childcare I’m so over being sick, not to mention over girls talking about each other and all that causes me anxiety.

Hi Again!

In the first year, you will be sick quite often until your immunity builds up to resist common infections. Just like when a child starts school for the first time they tend to get sick often until they build up immunity...

There are some things you can do in the meantime that may help:

As far as gossiping, it happens, in all industries, it happens...

You'll be fine, don't give up on something you love!

From my point of view, you don't love your work. Because 80% of sickness is enough to take a guess. Find your passion and work on that you really gonna love it.
