The question is;

Question 3 a

What does performance management in an early education and care service include?

I have attempted this question, I'm just very unsure if I'm on the right track;

Performance management can include the assessment or evaluation of performance, feedback, performance counselling, coaching, mentoring and development of learning and the development plans that are created for individuals and teams.

An assessment of performance management in a childcare service would need to take a range of factors into account such as;

The objectives and philosophy of the organisation

The legislative requirements that must be met by approved children’s services

The expectations of service users (that is, families)

The job role and responsibilities of each educator

The standards or benchmarks that educators are expected to achieve in the execution of their role

The specific challenges of the service

Individual educator differences

The team structure (Kearns 2015).

OR

The typical structures found in a child care service would be;

Legislative compliance system (includes policy and procedures)

Accountability and continuous improvement

Human resource management (educators and support team)

Resource management system

Customer service

Curriculum management

Administrative system

Financial management (Kearns 2015).

Any suggestions as to if I'm on the right track would be appreciated

I think this is more appropriate:
