Hello 👋, just an inquiry as I'm looking to get a new job and was thinking a casual position. Been a team leader for 5 years and are just returning from mat. leave. I want to make sure I get the right pay and understanding the classifications correctly.
Given that level 4.1 and above is a team leader position, how is there a casual rate for this? There would not be a casual team leader position so im alittle confused about this. Or would it be if someone was filling the role that day cause they are sick?
Cheers

Hi Mel,

As a casual, you would typically be an assistant within a room so you would be on Level 3.4 (since you are a Diploma Qualified). As a casual role, you would typically be filling in someone who is sick or on leave.

As for wages, add 25% to the full-time pay rate and you will get your casual rate.
