Hi guys,

I'm having trouble with this question. Any suggestions? I'm unable to get an answer for it. the question are below.

1using the attached pro forma devise an action plan for trish we need to include

a.desired outcomes

b.strategies-how to best engage the term in finding solutions

c.how to take in to account existing policies and procedures.

d .what to take in to account in the physical environment.

e.address training needs.

f.consider how to engage the older children in exploring safety.

g.criteria for evaluation.

Also you have said using attached pro form...which form?

I am a little confused to the context of the question .... there must be some more information that you have missed out. As you have written it I have no idea what I am making an action plan for.....desired outcomes of what? ....strategies to find a solution to what??

Please post the complete question if you want to get help, without all the information it makes it a tad difficult to assist you.

Hi Sue,
Just trying to figure out your question too.devise an action plan for trish we need to include
Who is trish? Is there a scenario on a girl called trish? I think thats why these questions are a little confusing because you will probably need to include the scenario so we can get a better understanding. Also a pro forma action plan means this document is done for formality.
Anyways, let us know the scenario.

Hi guys,
Sorry for not including the scenario. Here it is:
An analysis of accidents and near misses over the last 12 months involving both children and staff has revealed a disturbing patter of possible complacency. The analysis shows:
- Most accidents involving children occurred during outdoor late afternoon play.
- Most injuries and near misses involving staff occurred when setting up and packing away equipment (outdoors slightly more than indoors)
- Injuries to staff under 25 occured at twice the rate as injuries to staff over 25
- Falls were the most common form of injury to children
- The most common injurt to staff was trapping fingers, dropping objects on feet and back strain
The Director, Trish must decide how to address this issue in order to reduce accidents by 50%. Trish knows that the most effective strategy is to engage the team in devloping an action plan.
Make references to QIAS and the Early Learning Framework.

the answer to this is:
Factors in the physical environment that may contribute to accidents and injuries may include:
❖	inadequate fencing and gates that aren’t self-closing ]
❖	climbing equipment that is damaged – sharp edges, splinters
❖	uneven pathways or uneven paved areas
❖	lack of adequate soft-fall areas
❖	poorly set out equipment
❖     overcrowding in defined spaces such as the sandpit and climbing equipment
❖	poorly planned bicycle paths
❖	poorly maintained grounds
❖	poorly maintained equipment.
