Hi all!

So i have recently signed up for a diploma in early childhood education and care.
As i am not currently working in the industry and i don't have many peers that are in the industry to answer my questions i thought i would post them here.

So activity 2.2 in my current unit, it shows me a table of Statutory and regulatory requirements.
It outlines a list that includes things as follows: Building code of Australia, Child protection legislation, Disability standards, Discrimination and harassment, Education and care of young Children, Equal employment opportunities, Family Assistance Law, Family Law, Industry Awards, Privacy legislation, Workplace health and safety.

The activity has asked me to discuss with a peer how these will apply in my role as an educator.

So if anyone would like to discuss please feel free!

Im also confused as to how to set out my answers. Do I set them out in a table?
Or do I do this for example;
Building code of Australia - The building code of Australia will apply to my role as an educator blah blah blah.

Or do I answer as a general whole?

Thanks so much in advance for anyone that is willing to help :)

Hi,

Welcome to Aussie Childcare Network! :wave:

I think it's probably best to answer in the table format for each point it mentions for e.g "The building code of Australia will apply to my role as an educator..." It's probably easier to search each one to find out how it related to childcare which then you can use the information you find in your response.

For example:

Building Requirements

Hope this helps,
