Question-

Principles within the Early Years Learning Framework reflect contemporary theories and research evidence concerning children's learning and early childhood pedagogy. Identify one Principe from the approved Early Years Learning Framework and provide an explanation of what this principle means, providing one example of what this may look like in practice?

The principle i have chose is partnerships

What I have so far

A partnership is a relationship built between educators and families, this involves sharing certain information, ideas, concerns and questions about the child’s development and learning progress. By developing a successful partnership this will require the families and the educators to take responsibility for providing the correct information to each other and to consider and respect each other’s point of views and ideas.

Yes, I think that's good, clear explanation of the Principle. Now you need to add an example... So think about how you can work with families to support their child...

Thanks Lorina,

Could this be a example i could use?

In the Early Childhood Education and Care Service partnerships can be demonstrated when a child is refusing to eat the centre food at meal time. By working in partnership with the child’s family, the educator can communicate with the child’s family about what food/ meals their child eats at home. Once the educator has collected this information from the family, it can then be incorporated into the centre’s menu.

Yes, I think that's a good example. Family could also try to incorporate foods from the centre into their home cooking as well...
